Under Canvas Moab is a glamping camp of furnished safari-style tents on open desert seven miles north of Moab, near the turnoff for Canyonlands' Island in the Sky. It's for people who want to wake up near the parks without pitching a tent or fighting for a campsite in Devils Garden.
This guide covers what each tent includes, when the camp is open, and what to plan for, based on the camp's own published information.
Location
The camp is seven miles north of Moab. By the camp's own estimates:
- Arches National Park entrance: about 12 minutes.
- Canyonlands, Island in the Sky entrance: about 25 minutes.
- Downtown Moab: a short drive south.
That's handy when you're aiming for an early start or a sunset at Delicate Arch.

|---|---|
| 2026 | March 5 – November 1 |

What's included and what isn't
Included or on site:
- Nightly campfire with s'mores.
- Camp programming such as live music, morning yoga and kids' activities.
- USB battery packs at the bedside.
- EV charging (Rivian Waypoints chargers).
- Dogs welcome for a nightly fee.
Not included:
- Meals. The camp says no café-style dining is available: the lobby tent sells grab-and-go snacks, and there are communal grills and picnic areas to cook your own food. Plan on eating in Moab or bringing groceries.
